After being there 1 too many times, I’ve developed a few methods to make sure I always have each step of my skincare routine in stock at home at all times. Today, I'm sharing those methods with you!
Pay Attention to How Quickly You Use Products
More often than not we tend to mindlessly use products without paying attention to how much we use each time. Instead, try to notice how long it takes you how to use up your favorite products. This way you can get a sense of how often you'll need to re-purchase. A general rule of thumb for me is that once I have 1/3 product left it’s time to get more.
Notice How Long It Takes You to Get Your Products
Personally, I get most of my skincare online, therefore I always need to account for shipping. Hence where the 1/3 rule came from. Now, even if you tend to get all of your skincare from the drugstore it’s important to notice if you use a popular product that is often out of stock. If it is then the next up will be very useful.
Buy 2 of Your Essential Products
Some of my favorite skincare items are products that tend to sell out often. So whenever I’m running low I buy 2. For example let’s say I have 2 bottles of toner at home, once I’m 1/2 or 1/3 way through the second bottle I buy 2 more. Thus insuring that I have my product at all times. If you notice that your product takes a really long time to restock you may wait until you have 1 bottle left then order 2 more to replenish your stock.
